Speaking more than one language is the way of the
future. Individuals who are able to speak more than one
language will have a clear advantage in education, jobs
and succeeding in a global economy. Languages not only
increase the individual’s ability to think, problem
solving skills, self-discipline and self-esteem, they
will also open more doors in the future.
French and Spanish is spoken in more countries than
any other language. This is why St. Matthew’s offers
French and Spanish as early as 1st grade and
through the 8th grade. Your child should be
able to communicate in three languages by the time they
get to High School.

The study of music is one of the most valuable steps
in our children’s education. Some of the many benefits
received from music include an increased sense of
responsibility, mental discipline, team work,
self-esteem, and above all an enjoyment and a lifelong
appreciation of music. At St. Matthew’s your child will:
- Learn how to read music
- Be introduced to instruments and classic music
- Singing/choir
- Learn individual instruments*
St. Matthew’s Excellent music program is provided by
the well known Conservatorio Ortiz and is part of
the regular curriculum in grades 1st through
